What I Do
Strategy Development & Organizational Managment
With training in Results-based Leadership from the Annie E. Casey Foundation, my approach is results-based, data-driven and focused on addressing both technical and adaptive challenges related to scale and impact. I bring intentionality to addressing racial and other systemic disparities that result in inequitable outcomes for children, families, and communities. I have experience supporting the scale and impact of nonprofit organizations and national initiatives, including AmeriCorps Alums, MENTOR: the National Mentoring Partnership and the Grad Nation Campaign. In these roles, I have defined organizational growth goals and benchmarks, led research teams, developed process management tools, and driven private and public fundraising initiatives resulting in millions of dollars for community impact.

Stakeholder Engagement and Partner Campaigns
I have demonstrated success developing shared strategic initiatives with nonprofit organizations, foundations, community leaders, and government entities (including the White House, the Corporation for National and Community Service, the Department of Education, and others). I support the development of shared agendas and outcomes through a range of engagements, including the facilitation of meetings and planning processes, the development of research agendas and briefing materials, and the launch, implementation and assessment of shared campaigns. I helped to launch “Employers of National Service”, an initiative announced by President Obama that now brings together more than 500 employers committed to hiring AmeriCorps and Peace Corps alumni.

Research, Communications and Public Speaking
Through research, surveys, interviews, and landscape analysis, I have developed policy memos, op-eds, issue briefs, and national reports on topics related to education, youth development, civic engagement and more. I have co-authored publications including the Mentoring Effect (the National Mentoring Partnership) and the Grad Nation Annual Update which reached 190 million Americans. In addition to written partner communications, I have presented at state and national conferences as a keynote speaker and workshop presenter, including at the Aspen Institute National Service Summit, the annual Points of Light Conference on Volunteering and Service, and the Corporation for National and Community regional conferences.
